The House, the Senate and the governor are so far apart on funding legislation that debate was called off for today. And maybe for tomorrow, and the next day, and...a special session. In the meantime, CSSB 23 is in limbo.

  

I'm amazed and grateful for the number of calls reported to us since yesterday evening. We're hearing about them from various staffers. But take a breather now. No doubt we will ask you to call again as we see the bill coming up for a vote. We can only hope that we don't get caught in another backlog like the past two sessions!

  

Some good news. HB 2292, Prompt Pay / PBM Audit by Reps. Todd Hunter and Chuck Hopkins, RPh, was heard in Senate State Affairs this morning. Senate sponsor Leticia Van de Putte, RPh laid it out for us, I testified briefly, and it passed unanimously. It was referred to Senate Administration for placement on the Local and Uncontested Calendar and will be gaveled in without the need for floor debate. We expect this action May 24.
